The Magna VD963a is a stand-alone digital presence sensor that offers fast and reliable vehicle detection without the need for traditional loop detectors. With 3 adjustable sensitivities, it automatically recognizes vehicles by their ferrous content and adapts to the specific conditions of your site.

  • The Magna sensor, does not require any loops to be cut—the sensor does the job of the loops.
  • Saves time, mess and is much more reliable and quicker to install than a conventional loop detector.
  • Simpler wiring than a loop detector—just 4 wires to wire in and no module to fit - self setting.
  • It is a ‘presence’ sensor.
  • Digital technology allows exit sensors to to be over 100m from the control board.
  • Do not move the sensor after powering it up.
  • Try it in a different location to see if something in the road is causing it to activate.
  • Try different sensitivity settings.
  • Note: ‘Bench testing’ must be performed outdoors. You will not get a proper result if testing indoors, especially in buildings of metal construction.
