Unlike conventional automatic door systems that operate continuously, the AFSREL uses Assisted Door Operation, activating the automatic door only when requested. This keeps the entrance in secure manual mode during normal use, helping to prevent unauthorised access while reducing unnecessary door cycles, wear on the automatic door operator, maintenance costs, and energy consumption.
