VD961A Diablo Vehicle Ground Loop - Pulse

£139.02 EX VAT

VD961A is a road sensor set in the centre of a road suitable for opening an automated gate. It has three sensitivity settings selected by wiring. The output is a volt free normally open contact giving a pulse when a vehicle arrives.

Single point vehicle sensors are exit or presence, without a processor module. They are encapsulated and filled with potting compound to IP68

Magna Sensors recognise vehicles by their ferrous content. Ambient conditions are set on power up like a conventional loop detector. MagnaSensors are set in the middle of the road. They can be in any orientation, so fitting in a polythene pipe is ideal.

Magna sensors measure flux in three axes, so they can be installed in any orientation. They need to be positioned in the centre of the vehicle's path.

Magna presence

VD961 exit sensors

Like most loop detectors, Magna sensors reset to the ambient ferrous footprint on power up. VD961a has three sensitivity levels selected by any two output wires. Magna exit sensors are marked with a blue stripe.

The exit sensor range is within 1m of the sensor, but like all magnetic sensors, it depends on the ferrous content of the vehicle.

Current suffix 'A' models have a five core cable. The power wires (red & black) are isolated from the output wires (green, yellow, brown).

VD961 head
The cable is 10m, but can be extended to 100m. It is recommended to place the sensor in the centre of the road at least 7m back from gate or barrier.

Installation

Magna is designed to wire into most gate or barrier control panels. Power can be connected either way around.

Yellow cable has a direct burial PVC sheath, with solid 22 AWG copper cores, tinned and PE insulated. Core colours are to automation standard.

Additional information

Weight 1.5 kg
  • The Magna sensor, does not require any loops to be cut—the sensor does the job of the loops.
  • Saves time, mess and is much more reliable and quicker to install than a conventional loop detector.
  • Simpler wiring than a loop detector—just 4 wires to wire in and no module to fit - self setting.
  • It is a ‘free exit’ sensor.
  • Digital technology allows exit sensors to to be over 100m from the control board.
  • Compatible with most control panels on the market.
  • Supplied with 10 metres of cable. Can be joined.
