Hotron 3H-IR14c-BL Automatic Sliding Door Sensor

The Hotron 3H-IR14C-BL combines automatic door activation, pedestrian safety, and energy-saving performance within one of the most compact sensor housings available. Designed for automatic swing and sliding door applications, this advanced active infrared sensor delivers reliable detection while helping installations meet EN16005 safety requirements through its monitored safety outputs.

Using sophisticated active infrared technology, the 3H-IR14C provides a highly adjustable detection area that minimises unwanted activations and false triggers, making it particularly effective in busy commercial environments. Its integrated double-row infrared safety curtain continuously monitors the threshold area, helping protect pedestrians from moving doors and reducing the risk of accidental contact.

The sensor’s configurable presence timer ensures stationary users remain protected by preventing doors from closing while someone remains within the safety zone.

Key Features

  • Door Activation and Safety Sensor in One Unit
  • EN16005 Compliant Monitored Safety Outputs
  • Dual Relay Output Configuration
  • Active Infrared Detection Technology
  • Double-Row Safety Curtain for Pedestrian Protection
  • Adjustable Detection Area
  • Reduces False Activations in High-Traffic Areas
  • Presence Timer Function for Enhanced Safety
  • Compact, Low-Profile Design
  • Suitable for Swing and Sliding Automatic Doors

Compact Installation Design

The 3H-IR14C is one of the smallest sensors in its class. Requiring only 37mm of vertical clearance when used with the optional HA-14 mounting bracket, it is ideal for installations where space is limited, including:

  • Door operator covers
  • False ceilings
  • Narrow transoms
  • Architectural entrance systems

Flexible Applications

A single sensor can be configured to operate as:

  • A door activation sensor
  • A door opening safety sensor
  • A door closing safety sensor

This versatility simplifies specification, installation, and maintenance while helping reduce overall project costs.
