Wheelchair door activation sensor designed for automatic doors.
The WCHTX wireless wheelchair door activation sensor is an innovative disabled access solution designed to provide simple, reliable, and independent operation of automatic doors. Specifically developed for wheelchair users, this compact wheelchair access button allows automatic doors to be activated with minimal effort, helping improve accessibility in commercial, healthcare, education, and public buildings.
Using secure 868MHz wireless technology, the WCHTX communicates with compatible RX wireless receivers, eliminating the need for additional wiring and providing dependable door activation wherever accessibility is required. The sensor activates with the lightest touch or within approximately 5mm proximity, making it ideal for users with limited strength or dexterity while promoting hygienic operation.
The durable label features a hard-coated, scratch-resistant finish with an anti-reflective surface for excellent visibility in all lighting conditions. Built-in antibacterial protection helps maintain a cleaner touch surface, making the WCHTX particularly suitable for hospitals, healthcare facilities, care homes, rehabilitation centres, and other environments where hygiene is essential.
Designed for quick and straightforward installation, the WCHTX can be securely attached to almost any wheelchair using double-sided adhesive tape, Velcro, or cable ties. ▪ Touch sensor has stopped working or won’t program
✅ Solution:
- Change the batteries.
- Follow the programming video tutorial.
- Check there are no metal objects obstructing the receiver, check its power supply by making sure there’s correct voltage and that the output isn’t powering too many things, and extend the antenna if possible.
- Test in a different location to determine if signal interference is the issue.
- If it’s determined to be interference, hardwiring is the best option.
